Originally founded by W.C. Weedon in 1902, the Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau is now a Hawaii tourism membership group of over 1,400 businesses and supporters.Working closely with the Hawaii Tourism Authority, HVCB is a nonprofit organization whose sole purpose is to promote our islands to travelers throughout North America – Hawaii’s largest and most important market. Association of Destination Management Executives International (ADMEI) ADMC is Association of Destination Management Executives International’s Destination Management Company Accreditation Program. It was designed to elevate the standards of practice for destination management. The program 1) Identifies the practices that are indicative of quality DMC services, 2) Assesses the procedures and practices of individual DMC’s, 3) Formerly recognizes the DMC’s that meet the requirements set forth by the ADMC Commission, 4) Improves the quality and effectiveness of services provided to the meeting planning community, and 5) Encourages quality service to clients by DMC’s.
